Health Information Technology
The President and Congress committed $19 billion for health information technology programs as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This historic funding will result in both short and long term opportunities as well as regulatory challenges.
WSC works with its clients to:
- Access funding for the acquisition of health information technology (HIT) systems.
- Liaison with the office of the National Coordinator for Health Information
- Technology (ONCHIT) within the Department of Health and Human Services on regulatory issues including the development of standards for meaningful electronic health records (EHR) users and systems.
- Promote the development of health information technology systems.
